Bella

Our sweet Bella came into us on the 2nd June 2025 after a social worker who had been working with a family managed to convince the mum of home that keeping Bella wasn't the right thing to do & she'd be better + safer in rescue away from the children who were harming her. 

The lady agreed eventually and that is where we stepped in to try & help the situation. When Bella came in she was severely underweight, had blad patches of furr missing & scabs all over her body, from which we couldn't tell if Bella had done these by herself from the stress and duress she was living under or whether it had been inflicted on her by the children.

Regardless is was clear this poor girl really had not only suffered physically but also mentally. When stroking her she would absolutely freak & lash out if you tried touching her anywhere past her line of sight or head, it was like she was so petrified with anticipation of what you might do, she had to protected her self first before you would even get a chance to harm her.

It took us weeks to finally start getting somewhere with her and it truly was so beautiful to witness her grow in confidence once she realised we weren't out to harm her in anyway. Building her trust was just a wonderful thing to be doing. Not long after this we put her up for rehoming, a lady came, saw her, met her and fell in love with her. Only thing was we didn't know how Bella would react to living with another cat due to the fact she came by herself. However everyone included was willing to give it a chance as the lady was just fantastic.

On the 2nd of September exactly 3 months after she was signed into our care it was time for Bella to fly the best and all we could do was hope & pray this was going to be her happy ever after, the life she really deserved.
