Tipsy, Stella & Babs

Stella, Babs & Tipsy our generational trio came into us through absolutely no fault of their own . They were all very loved and cared for but had to be signed over to us due to really unfortunate circumstances. We promised we would try our best to keep these 3 cuties together as we really didn't want to separate them considering we had grandma, mummy and baby. We were so relived we were able to keep that promise to their original owner.

A lovely lady came from a village not far from our rescue came to view these girls in hopes they could fill her home & life back up full of love & joy. It was heart warming seeing this lady with these girls when coming to visit them multiple times before their departure to her home and now they can continue their happy story all together. We love a happy ending.

Hello all my names Marci, short for Marceline which is a name of the French origin meaning 'Little warrior'. I was called this as I haven't ever been a pet before and ended up a feral stray pregnant. I gave birth to 4 beautiful babies. We were captured in September by mummy Zoe who pushed to help us and then officially set up the rescue. I've been here the longest as mummy Zoe has really wanted to work on me to give me the best chance possible in being rehomed.

I really have come a long long way, when I first came in the rescue I hissed and would strike out, I hated anyone near me, I smashed every single thing in the bathroom petrified and wanting to get out, I just hid, over the months I have know grown confidence, come out with ease, play and living happily and comfortably with in the 4 walls of what I now call home.

I still have my moments, truthfully deep down I will always be a sassy diva, but I mean no harm, what's life without a little spice though? I'm still weary when I comes to being stroked and do need more time to trust however I'm more willing then what I was, I just sometimes (depending on my mood or if I'm hungry) like to bop your with my paw in order to tell you to leave me be or I will run off though I'm starting to stay a little longer.

I am loving and do enjoy being around you however its from a distance at the moment and its on my terms. I'm a lady who knows what she wants and most importantly what she DOESN'T want.

I get on well with all cats, even if a cat tries to hit me I never react, I would make a wonderful pet if you're looking for a cat mainly to keep your other cat company and give you something super pretty to look at. I cant be around young children or dogs though this would really upset me and stress me out, visiting children are fine as I can take myself away to a quite space but that's are far as I'll go. older cat savvy children are fine. (16+).

Please consider me because I really do have so much potential. All my children have now been adopted and its time for me to find a place to call my own, there has to be someone out there who would like my spice and smile/laugh at it admiring the fact I'm just me and still feed me at the end of the day.

For your chance to adopt me please fill out a form in the 'Adoption' option below in the quick links section today. Thankyou for you consideration.

Hello my names Rufus, I'm a very friendly, kind caring boy with a heck of a lot of love to give. I have come to the rescue through no fault of my own, apparently my owner became allergic to me and our neighbours were complaining of me pooping in their garden, I guess I just didn't understand how that was wrong.

I get on with everyone in the rescue meaning I am suitable for homes that already have kittys and are wanting to add to their furr family, I also use to live with dogs and young children so I have had experience with all. I really want a family to call my own again because I know I really could provide a lot of happiness, I love cuddles & kisses and to give cuddles and kisses. I love sleeping with you on the bed and being around you and your company.

I have outdoor experience also, however I have settled into indoor life perfectly and I am not one bit of bother, I am litter-trained and dont cry to go out, is there really much more anyone could want from a cat? I really am the whole package, I really could fit into just about any family.

If you would like to adopt me please dont hesitate to fill out a form for me in the 'adoption' option below as you wont ever regret it. Thankyou in advance.

Hello my names Timmy and I'm finally looking for my furrever home. I came into the rescue as sometimes I can be a little sassy and bitey and my owners were struggling with my behaviour.

At first when I came to the rescue I showed this personality straight away however after being here for around 2 months I have come on leaps and bounds and even get along with cats again, I'm super sweet and gorgeous to look at and I love attention (and cream cheese) however I am happy and confident enough to tell you when I have had enough and this is where I can take a little swipe or nibble.

I'm not out to hurt anyone of course, I just need a cat savvy home with people who can understand cats and cats behaviour so they can see the signs coming of when I have had enough and respect this, I'm not a nasty cat though, just sassy. Due to my tendencies I cannot be rehomed to a home with children of a young age. They would indeed have to be over 15 with a good understanding of cats, I don't want or like dogs either. A quite home where I can just chill and be loved sounds the most ideal to me, I can live by myself too, sometimes I wonder if having the soul attention would actually benefit me even more.

I have so much love to give, please consider me. With me being long haired I will have to be groomed, but I am also good at maintaining my furr, the brushing would be more to prevent hair balls which in fairness I haven't been known to have them. I am litter-trained and do indeed have outdoor experience however where I lived was very rural and I didn't fully care for going out so an indoor home would suit me more or a super safe enclosed garden.

If I sound like the right boy for you please click on the 'Adoption' option below on the quick links and fill out a form for me today. Thankyou for taking your time to read about me.

Larry

  • 1 Year 4 Months (DOB: 1st December 2022)- estimate
  • Tabby & White
  • Domestic Short Hair
  • Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea'd & wormed
  • No known health conditions or concerns

Hello all, my names Larry I was captured all the way in Stafford where I was part of a very large cat colony (over 40 cats). I am a lovely boy once I get to know you, I just hide quite a lot at first. I do like being stroked and will tilt my face into your hand in enjoyment and I love head kisses. I'm very food orientated so its the best way to cox me out at the beginning. I'm quite a big chonky boy and when being checked over at the vets they've said I'm very healthy and have done really well for myself all things considering.

Since being in the rescue my confidence has definitely grown but I would love love love a place to call my own where I can settle and live out the rest of my days happy and comfortable and I know if someone has time to give me I will become a wonderful boy to have around given the chance.

I feel a home with older people and no young children would suit me, visiting ones are fine as I can just take myself away but this isn't something I would want to constantly live with, I'm one for a more quieter, relaxing lifestyle. I of course come with outdoor experience however I would need to stay in for a few months till my confidence has grown inside the house because if I haven't completely settled I might end up doing a runner, that being said I've adapted to indoor life perfectly, I have never complained or cried to get out, I do like looking out the window though. I am litter trained and have no accidents and I get on with other cats splendidly. What more could you really ask for?

If you like the sound of me and feel you can offer what I am looking for then please don't hesitate to fill out the 'Adoption form' on the adoption option below for your chance to call me yours. Thankyou for taking your time to read this.

  • Domestic Short Haired
  • Neutered, Microchipped, Vaccinated, flea'd & wormed
  • No known health conditions or concerns

Hi, my names Mr. Puddlesworth. I'm not one bit of bother to look after at the rescue, I'm generally quite easy, any kind of care I appreciate after having to fend for myself most of my life. I was part of a feral cat colony collected in Stafford, where there were over 40 of us. A lady spent weeks getting us all and then found us all rescue spaces. Myself & Larry both came here along with two others (Midnight & Sponge).

I have been getting more use to human contact since being in the rescue, getting fed lots of treats helps, I can be a bit hissy and growly when I don't know you but I haven't ever lashed out and once I'm being touched I'm actually fine, just at first it makes me nervous, growing up I've had to fend and protect myself which meant I haven't exactly had much human contact, if any, before I came here but mummy Zoe says I'm showing so much potential.

I am completely litter trained, I have no accidents, I get on well with other cats, I'm very low maintenance, so long as I have food, a comfy bed and a quite life I don't feel there is much more I need nor want. I just might spend the first few weeks hiding.

Because of my hiss and growling tendencies I wouldn't like to be around young children, this opens the door to possibly not being respected or listened to when I do this and that doesn't sit right with me, I'd just like an older household who understand cats and can build my confidence and trust rather then break it as I know I could make somebody very happy in the right homely environment. So if you're looking for a friend for you or your feline, I am more then happy to assist.

If you feel you can offer me what I'm looking for and give me my happy ever after we would love to hear from you. Please scroll down and click the 'Adoption' option below to fill a form out for me today. Thankyou so much for taking your time to read about me.

Storm & Pebbles

Storm & Pebbles were found at around 10 weeks old along with their 2 other siblings and their mother. Once they were captured it was noticed these poor babies were infested with worms and were treated straight away, it took weeks to build them up to the correct weight ready for them to be neutered once old enough.

Storm & Pebbles were always the most nervous of all the kittens, which made us make the decision of keeping them together. We knew that they needed someone with plenty of time, patience & love. Although they'd come a long way from the hissy scared kittens they once were, they still needed time. Within a couple of weeks Storm & Pebbles had the perfect couple apply for them and moved into their home on the 3rd of January 2024 ready to start the beginning of the new year in the warmth of a loving home, a place to call their own all the way in Berwickshire. We here at Zoe's Ark are absolutely made up for them.

The photo above is Storm & Pebbles now, a month down the line & here is what their new owners have to say about them-

Well, it’s 4 weeks today and we absolutely love them and all their odd ways. Pebbles is silent, it’s almost as if her mother taught her not to miaow - Storm occasionally miaows and burbles away to himself. They will lick food from our fingers, but still no further forward with being able to touch them. We wouldn’t be without them, their boundless energy and playfulness is wonderful! Xx
- Lorraine Bowyers

It has now been 3 months since our lovely Storm & Pebbles have went to their forever home, here is an update for you all:-

First piece of news… we had to give up using Storm as a name, he’s Ronnie to us. Storm suggests power and anger and Ronnie is such a gentle soul who is utterly dominated by Pebbles. We are making slow but steady progress in gaining their trust. Pebbles will occasionally let Andrew stroke the side of her face and Ronnie is ok with having his feet and tail touched. Any attempt to touch their sides or heads results in them running away and we go back a few stages. They are desperate to go out but we are still keeping them in as neither of us is convinced they would come back 😢 All that being said, we love them dearly, and they bring so much joy whether they’re chasing each other, playing with corks and paper balls or curled up in a sunny spot or in front of the fire. They are each the other’s best friend and despite the play fighting they do love each other. Ronnie’s pleasure is to lick out big yogurt pots; Pebbles waits for him to finish so she can clean his head for him. Love Andrew, Lorraine, Ronnie and Pebbles.

Frosty

This is Frosty, he was rescued from a warehouse in Frosterly after seeking shelter from storm Debi. When Frosty came into my care I was able to get him booked in straight away at the vets for a health check, he was suffering from cat flu and had multiple ticks over his head and ears which the vet was able to successfully remove. He was given antibiotics to help him and made a full recovery. Frosty is now sponsored by Crosshill Care Home as their therapy which he goes in once a week to spend time with the residents and provide them with happiness and cuddles. The rest of the time Frosty stays at the rescue with me due to him being amazing with other cats and helping them build confidence and teaching the ferals how to love and trust again. Therefore Frosty's success story starts with us and ends with us here at the rescue, his happy ever after home is with us here at Zoes Ark and we couldn't be happier.

Mack

Mack was found when he was around 10 weeks old with his 3 siblings and his mother in a retired housing estate. After speaking with the house owners and neighbours around nobody knew anything about the kittens nor whose the mummy cat was. Over the course of 4 days Mack and his siblings + his mother were captured.

Mack was a very hissy, scared kitten, he would just run away & hide. After weeks of rehabilitating he became one of the most loving, affectionate kittens ever. Mack quickly captured the hearts of many with his gorgeous coloured fur & his very handsome face. He was successfully rehomed on the 8th of December to a lovely family in Liverpool and is living his best life in a loving, warm, safe home just in time for Christmas. Paws up for little Mack.

Here is what his new owners have to say about him after a whole month:-
Mack is doing so well and has grown loads now. He’s such a good boy and very affectionate, loves a cuddle and to sit on a knee. Him and Lola are doing well, he’s grinding her down to be his friend. He knows his full Makerel name now and comes running😂 He’s so very happy with us and although he’s a pest of a little brother, Lola and him do play and chase each other. I have taken him in the garden a few times with harness and lead, which he is getting used to. We love him to bits ❤️😻
- Lindz Gregson.

It has now been 3 months since our gorgeous Mack went to his forever home, here is his 3 month update for you all:-

3 months has gone super fast. We love him to bits, he’s a very funny cat. We’ve had to make a decision to let him outside which I didn’t want to do really but just the lead wasn’t enough for him and he was distressed to see Lola out in the garden. He loves the wildlife in the garden stalking pheasant and birds xxx

Pixie

Pixie successfully went to her new home on the 27th January 2024. Pixie has seemed to have immediately settled into her new home, she has become very close to the ladies daughter and is quite fond of laying with her and getting her cuddles. Its wonderful to see it and also to hear about it.

Pixie came to us as a stray cat found in a village nearby. She was microchipped and every attempt possible was made to contact the owners on the chip information provided however days turned into weeks which turned into months and no owner ever came forward, that's when we then had the go ahead to proceed forward in being able to rehome her.

Pixie has gone as an only cat where she will spend her years and days getting the soul attention and all the love she deserves by wonderful people. Paws up for Pixie baby. We are absolutely made up for her.

Here is what Pixies new owners have to say about having her after a whole month:-

Princess Pixie arrived to her forever home 4 weeks ago, she has been a pleasure to have around. She was a little wary at first but very friendly and by the evening she had made herself at home. Pixie’s character is really coming out now, she loves to run around with her toys..climb her cat tree .. her favourite place is watching the world go by on her window seat. On a night she sleeps at the bottom of my daughters bed on her fluffy blankets. She is a joy to have 🥰 we are so grateful to Zoe’s Ark for allowing us to adopt Pixie & thankful for all of the amazing effort & hard work that goes into rescuing/rehoming Cats & Kittens🐈‍⬛🥰❤️
