Binx & Luna

Binx and Luna successfully went to their new home on the 26th January 2024. They've settled in very well and their new owner is absolutely made up with them.

Binx & Luna both came to us after their owner was being sent to a different army barracks that didn't allow animals. It wasn't an easy decision and from the get go you could tell how loved and looked after these pair were. It was just a very unfortunate situation so we stepped in to help.

We managed to find this pair a wonderful home together where they now continue to live happily ever after.

Here is Binx & Lunas 1 month update:-

Binx & Luna have settled in far quicker and better than I could have wished for. I am so lucky and pleased to have received such beautiful and lovely cats from you.
- Ian Hogarth

Here is the lovely duos 3 month update:-

Both Binx & Luna are in good health , they run rings around me , but I really enjoy their company and spoiling them.

6 months update :-

The two little fur balls known as Binx & Luna are doing great and are keeping me entertained with their typical cat antics, and busy cleaning up after them. After all I am just their butler, but I would not have it any other way as I love their company very much .

Milly

Our beautiful girl Milly found her wonderful forever home and left us on the 25th January 2024.
Millie was trapped down in Manchester and room was found here at Zoe's Ark to help this girl. Millie was part of a feral colony and it became apparent from the get go she had never ever had human interaction. She wasn't a nasty cat at all but her fear was second to non which makes her story & updates even more beautiful.

We were prepared for Millie to be with us a long time. Though she was beautiful, she really was so nervous and most people are wanting a cuddly lap cat which we didn't feel she would be therefore we couldn't guarantee it. However a lovely lady offered her a home with open arms along with all the time Millie could ask for to continue progressing and we were absolutely thrilled to be able to give Millie this happy ever after lifeline she so desperately needed and boy are we glad we did.

Lovely Millie's one month update:-

Hard to believe Millie has been with me for a month! When she first came to me I rarely saw her, she was either under my coffee table or behind the curtains. The only time she would venture out to eat or use the litter tray was when I was in bed or out. She is still very shy and tends to hide away but is now confident enough to come out frequently when I am in the same room, and eats in front of me. She loves to sit by my big double doors and watch the world go by from my living room, watching the birds and people walking by. In fact she has pulled my net curtains down 3 times now, so she got her own way and I didn't put them up again 😂 Millie loves her food and now lets me pass her dreamies and lets me sit near her, but has only allowed me stroke her once or or twice but we'll get there! She loves her catnip mice and hedgehog which I know she plays with them as they are always in different places and sometimes I hear her kicking them when she's under the table. She has a knitted blanket that my Mum made her andis very attached to it and moves it around with her. Although she is quite jumpy (I have to try not to make any sudden movements) and very shy - she has come on loads in the last month and she will get as much time and patience from me as she needs. The main thing is she's safe, warm and loved and her cheeky personality is really starting to show.
- Louise Trower

Millie's 3 month update:-

Millie is doing brilliantly. Although I am unable to stroke her, she happily takes dreamies from my hand, enjoys licky lix and will come over and sniff my hand. She loves her food and likes a tin of tuna for a treat. She loves to sit in the sun by the window and watch the world go round and has also started to explore the cat tree and use her bed (but only when I took the cushion out 🙄) Her favourite toy at the moment is her ball run and she spends a lot of time batting the ball around and still loves her catnip mice. The big news is months after she was spayed her beautiful fur is finally growing back and it lovely and shiny! Just a week ago I saw her making biscuits on her favourite blanket for the first time. She has a real cheeky character now and knows what she wants - including knocking things off my coffee table and pulling suprisingly heavy books from my bookcase! She rarely hides (except when when I get the vacuum out 😆) and happily lies out in the open flashing her belly which was unthinkable a couple of months ago. Thank you for introducing this funny, small but mighty, independent little minx to me. She makes me smile every day!

Millie's 6 month Update:-

I can't believe Miss Millie - AK Millie the Minx has been with me for 6 months! She is a different Cat to the one that arrived 6 months ago. No more hiding away from me and she happily takes dreamies and licky lix from me. She is really playful and will chase pretty much anything that moves and has regular zoomies around my flat! She has discovered balls and loves kicking them and chasing them around my flat She still loves sitting by my windows watching the birds and has taken to sleeping next to my bed at night. She is still nervous and hides away if I have visitors but she is active, playful and much more comfortable with me. Most importantly she is happy (and spoilt!) Thank you rescuing this funny, gorgeous girl and trusting me to care for her

Fudge & Smudge

Our lovely duo Fudge and Smudge left to start their new journey in their forever home on the 24th January 2024. They were huge characters here at the rescue and since their departure the rescue seems so so much quieter.

These two were part of an accidental litter and it has been an absolute pleasure watching them grow into the crazy, wild pair they are. They are hugely missed but we are glad they have their very own furrever home now.

Smudge & Fudge have now been at their new home for a month now and here is what their new owners have to say:

It’s been wonderful having these two siblings in our household. They have settled in really well and everyone is delighted watching them having a good time. Whether it is playing with toys, climbing their scratch post or playing chase or hide and seek or watching them snooze. They are now really relaxed around our dog Atlas who is so happy to have play mates again, they sometimes even all sleep in his bed. Thank you so much – the whole experience of adopting them has been wonderful!
- Anna Unger

It has now been 3 months since our beautiful duo Smudge & Fudge departed and here is their update:

They are both doing absolutely fine – spending a lot of time chasing each other and looking out the window at birds. They are both really cuddly and will curl up every time you sit on the sofa. we have let them out in the garden for the first time this week. They only lasted for about 5min and wanted to come back in! We will try again when the weather is nicer and be with them for their first days out! We have programmed the cat flaps so they can only come in and not go out when they choose at night.

6 whole months and a new update:-

Hiya, both are doing great! They love being outdoors through the day and sometimes join us for a dog walk to the adjoining park early morning or late afternoon. Artemis/Fudge has become quite the huntress and brings home presents 😒while Apollo/Smudge likes his cuddles 24/7! They are still super fond of each other and get on great with the dog. We call them in when in gets dark for a feed and keep them in overnight to keep them safe. Xx

Milo

Our gorgeous boy Milo came in with his brother and sister back in January 2024, they were our first arrivals of the year and came to us through absolutely no fault of their own.

The trio was signed over to us due to a really unfortunate change of circumstances where if they stayed they probably would have ended up unhappy. Their original owner understood this and decided to do what she felt was most fair on them.

Milo, Jake & Bella were an absolute pleasure to look after. Milo was with us the shortest, his confidence was definitely there which made us happy enough that he could go on his own adventure to a home with another cat as he loved everyone.

Whilst in our care it came to our attention that Milo would often limp and we couldn't understand why, a vet trip + x-ray later it came out Milo had something called a 'Luxating Patella' which is an issue more commonly found within the canine species. However after a quick and successful surgery Milo was able to go up for adoption.

He was soon snapped up by a lovely lady all the way down near London who fell in love with him the moment she saw him and off we set on the 16th April 2024  once we got the all clear from the vets to take him to his new furrrever home where he had a new brother waiting for him.

Here is what they had to say about Milo after 1 month:-

Milo is honestly such a lovely cat! Absolutely loving being around the kids isn’t fussed in the slightest being around them. Him and teddy get along like a house on fire. Chase each other around and love having fun. Milo do loves his sleep and loves the kids bed to sleep in - the top bed bunk in fact!🤣 truly loves a cuddle and a stroke on his belly. He’s a treasure. Thankyou Zoe ❤️
- Grace Kee

Here is lovely Milos 3 month update:-

Honestly he’s actually a delight to have around the house. He’s so peaceful and just loves to eat sleep and repeat 🤣. Loves being around the kids and isn’t fussed at all. I’m glad you knew the exact cat for us to have that fitted around our house hold. I love him so much 🥰

Mabel

Mabel came to us all the way back in November 2023 after being found taking residency in a gentleman's shed out of the cold. She was checked over by a vet who then told us about her heart murmur along with suspected hyperthyroidism as she was quite an elderly lady with an age estimate of around 12. As well as this Mabel was also severely dehydrated, skinny & malnourished which we spent weeks slowly building her weight back up so we didn't over-power her. We at the rescue understood rehoming Mabel wasn't going to be easy as a special type of home and person understanding of her needs was needed.

That's where we found the kindest girl, with a heart of gold who specifically wanted an elderly or special needs cat, so we introduced her to Mabel and she fell in love. A few weeks later once the vets were happy Mabel was able to go to her new home on the 16th of January 2024, it was lovely to see this elderly girl find her happy ever after.

Unfortunately after a happy couple of weeks, Mabel started to rapidly loose weight again, despite being fed more then ever to try and keep it on. Medication was issued, this too didn't do much either, eventually her breathing to started going and between the heart murmer & her hyperthyroidism (which had been diagnosed at this point) the kindest thing was too let her go and she was taken to the vets where her new owner was with her and she passed away peacefully on the 6th of March 2024.

Though Mabel's happy ever after wasn't years, we are so glad and happy and thankful that from her being rescued in November till her passing in March she was able to experience at least a few months of care, love and happiness, where she was warm, had regular meals and was safe + comfortable. We are thankful to the kind lady who adopted her giving her that chance and for always doing right by her. R.I.P Queen Mabel.

Frosty

This is Frosty, he was rescued from a warehouse in Frosterly after seeking shelter from storm Debi. When Frosty came into my care I was able to get him booked in straight away at the vets for a health check, he was suffering from cat flu and had multiple ticks over his head and ears which the vet was able to successfully remove. He was given antibiotics to help him and made a full recovery.

Frosty is now sponsored by Crosshill Care Home as their therapy which he goes in once a week to spend time with the residents and provide them with happiness and cuddles. The rest of the time Frosty stays at the rescue with me due to him being amazing with other cats and helping them build confidence and teaching the ferals how to love and trust again.

Due to Frosty's sponsership and the care and help he provides here at the rescue rehoming him isn't something that will be happening as when we feel he has had enough, he will retire and live out his final years with the rescues owner Zoe.

Frosty has grown into the most cheekiest, happiest boy. From a kitten his potential was so obvious in what he could do & the difference he could make and we are so very proud of him.

  • Black & white
  • Domestic short haired
  • Neutered, microchipped, flea'd & wormed (will also come vaccinated)
  • No health conditions or concerns
  • Available to be reserved

Hello my names Kitty and I have been living at my foster home for a little while now, at first it was only going to be temporary as the rescue managed to locate my owners and we all thought I'd be able to reunited with them and go back home, but unfortunately I'm not exactly wanted back due to them getting a dog after I had ran away back in October 2023.

I am a lovely cat, I love sitting in the sun and on the sofa. I don't really care for other cats and would much prefer sole attention, Mummy Charlotte who is looking after me has tried to introduce to her cats but I do not like them, I think I have just got use to my own company after looking after myself and fending for myself for so long. I could possibly adjust but it would take some time.

I am a very sweet, loving and trustworthy girl, I am litter trained, good as gold and love humans along with loving lap cuddles so I am very affectionate. I like to sleep in the cat tree house and make biscuits on anything fluffy. I hope you will consider me when looking to adopt and look past my colour and look more into the wonderful personality I have.

If you like the sound of me and would like to adopt me and give me my happy ever after please click the adoption option below and fill one out for me now. Thankyou for your time.

Hello my names Daisy. My sister Bella & I were taken by a nice lady after our former owner couldn't keep us anymore. I look a bit like my sister too. I am a very out-going and loving snuggle monster.

I really love people & sleeping on my current humans shoulder whenever she sits on the sofa. I like my comfy blankets and soft beds but I really like the humans beds better, I even  cuddle up under the duvet with the human. Any kind of love, I want! I keep getting called 'Velcro cat' which is very funny to me.

I can be a little shy when you first meet me but its only because you are new to me. After a little while I will be cuddling you non stop. Me and my sister really just want a place to call our own, a comfy bed and a comfy sofa to lay on with someone who has time & treats for us.

We aren't to be separated as we have never been apart since we were born and I makes my sad when I am not in the same room as my sister.

So if we sound like the adorable duo you have been looking for in your life then please click the adoption option below in the quick links sections to apply for us now!!! Thankyou <3

Tipsy, Stella & Babs

Stella, Babs & Tipsy our generational trio came into us through absolutely no fault of their own . They were all very loved and cared for but had to be signed over to us due to really unfortunate circumstances. We promised we would try our best to keep these 3 cuties together as we really didn't want to separate them considering we had grandma, mummy and baby. We were so relived we were able to keep that promise to their original owner.

A lovely lady came from a village not far from our rescue came to view these girls in hopes they could fill her home & life back up full of love & joy. It was heart warming seeing this lady with these girls when coming to visit them multiple times before their departure to her home and now they can continue their happy story all together. We love a happy ending.

Here is their 1 month update:-

Happy girls, little Babs is coming out of her shell and laid on my bed for a bit. Empty cat beds, my beds are full. They’ve had a venture outside, now in resting. I get more claws and teeth then furr when I brush Tipsy. Happy girls, purring away. They’re not liking the whisker pouches much and are sometimes sick but they make me so happy.

Bingo

Bingo went to his new home on the 10th of January 2024, a loving family home where he seems to have settled in really nicely. Bingo came into our care through absolutely no fault of his own, after being sold to his original owner as a female cat (which he had bought to keep his other cat company) it became very obvious once old enough he indeed wasn't female by the fact he ended up impregnating the other cat. Eventually the kittens were born and in result of this the female cat became very maternally aggressive towards him.

Bingo has been a character from the beginning here at the rescue, I've never known such a cheeky boy but we loved having him and are so happy he has finally found his forever happy ever after with people who will love and adore him. Paws up for Bingo (now also known as Bennie).

Here is a wonderful update on Bingo after a whole month:-

Bingo is settling in very well he is becoming firm friends with Bobby our oldest cat. He is an all-round cat showing affection to everyone not just members of the family. He is so good with the children that visit our house regularly. X
- Chris & Emma English

Bingos 3 month update:-
