Manny & Clayton

Manny & Clayton were brough into us back in March 2024 after they had spent almost the first year of their lives living in and around the alleyways of a town in Manchester. Manny & Clayton made great progress after a while, becoming less nervous and more confident around humans but not towards them, we knew that ultimately the more room and freedom they had, the happier they'd be but did also love being fed and looked after in that way.

That's when a lady enquired, looking for 2-3 farm/feral cats for a small hold her and her sister ran and when shown where they'd be staying and all the fancy huts and beds they'd have, we knew they'd love having that freedom and comfort in one whilst also being loved and cared for in health too. We also knew they boys got on well with Mr Puddlesworth (another more feral cat in our care) so we felt it best they all stay together and so away they all went in November 2024.

Here are their lovely updates:-

1 month update:-

Hi, everyone is great Manny and Clayton like to circle us like sharks. We've not let them outside yet as we want to make sure they are settled .xx

  • Ready to go

Hello all my name is Sponge, I've been at the rescue for a little while now and though I am still pretty nervous, I am ready to find my new loving, furever home.

I was collected from Staffordshire where I was living quite rurally in part of a feral cat colony. In total there was probably 50 of us, I am thankful to say because of this I am use to cats and can live with them. I wouldn't like to live in a house with dogs or young children though, just a nice comfy warm place where I can settle in my own time and be just as loved.

I believe in the right environment I will be able to thrive, do you have time and patience for a kitty like me? I am litter-trained and I'm a really good boy, the as the days pass, my confidence grows that little bit more.

Please please please try & give me a chance, I could even just be great company for your current kitties and a pretty boy to look at. Thankyou in advance, if you are interested I'd be very grateful if you filled out the 'Adoption' option below in the quick links area and type my name in.

Hydie

Our  beautiful girl Hydie was signed over to us by a rescuer in Manchester after she was seen roaming the streets for weeks in March 2024. When Hydie first came in she showed us just how sassy she could be, ending up with the nickname 'Miss Sass Pants' however she very quickly showed us her sweet, kind, sensitive side and she really was a loving kitty (though the other rescue cats had to deal with the sass).

Hydie really did have so much potential, we gathered this pretty quickly and though she tolerated the other rescue cats we knew with her personality she would have preferred to be an only cat with all her attention on HER and I'm thankful to say we were able to deliver that to her in September 2024 when a lovely lady applied for her.

Here is Hydies (now Rosie) updates:-

1 month update:-

Rosie is a beautiful sassy little girl, she has definitely made herself at home, she loves nothing more than playing with her toys, when I get in from work she sits at waits for me to have my dinner then it's play time with her fav toy. it's a fishing rod with a feather at the end (for cats) and she jumps and runs with it. Then when she's had enough she comes in for snuggles. At night I tell her it's bed time and she gallops to the bedroom ready to Snuggle in. In the morning she sits on my knee while I do my makeup usually trying to fish something out lol

Lovely Hydies 3 month update:-

She is just beautiful, I couldn't imagine my life without her. She has filled out and is fluff ball. She is like my shadow and follows me everywhere, sits on my knees in the morning when I do my make up. Loves playing with her toys and snuggles. She is loving my xmas 🎄 climbs, playing with the decorations, and climbing up it lol. One thing she does is sits and waits when I have my morning shower then once i am out she goes in and sits there as if to say it's my turn lol she has been on her first holiday, she stayed at my sisters when I went away for a fews days and loved all the news smells and things to get into, she tried to lay on my sisters her legs but she lays different to me so she nudged and pawed at her to lay like I do so she could be comfortable lol honestly Iover her so much, I can't thank u enough x

Rufus

Our lovely boy Rufus was signed over to us back in March 2024 through absolutely no fault of his own, his owners children had become allergic to him along with their apparent neighbour complaining of Rufus using their garden to toilet in. We really felt for him here at the rescue when reading about it.

Rufus very quickly showed us just how amazing he really was, he was so loving, so friendly and so very sweet in everyway. We knew he would fit in just about any home even ones with dogs and once his went up on our website it really wasn't too long before this handsome boy was snapped up and away he went to his new home to start his happy ever after in August 2024.

Here are his updates-

Rufus' 1 month update:-

He's very happy in his new home and is loving lots of attention and strokes. He has prawns on a Friday and enjoying country life with his new pals. He's had some supervised outdoor time and loves chasing his new friends around the farm. Xx
- Helen Hudson

Handsome boys 3 month update:-

Rufus is doing great and loving the outdoor life on the farm. He's such a lovely boy and purrs all the time. His favorite things to do are sit in the sink so he can clean the plates for us 🤣 and chase bunny's. Xx

Posey

Posey came into Zoe's Ark in March 2024. She was picked up by a member of public who had spotted her hanging around for a few months right next to a very busy main road, eventually Posey went into hiding where the women did nothing but worry something might have happened to her until Posey turned up again yowling leading the women the women to believe she was then in season or possibly pregnant. The women was more then happy to keep/look after Posey however both Posey and the existing cats of the house hold did not like each other forcing the lady to then come to us for help.

Posey was one of the most sweetest cats I'd come across making it impossible to believe she was a feral and more of a stray, how she ended up that way is something we dont know. She was checked for a chip but one wasn't found so we got to work getting her ready for a furrever home once she was out of her isolation period. We knew she would easily make someone a very happy person and also make a wonderful family pet. Though Posey was kept in the main part of the rescue along with other cats she did make it known she'd only tolerate so much of their crazy antics leading us to believe she could be homed with other cats providing their was enough room but ultimately she'd be happiest by herself having the sole attention.

Thankfully we found her just that with a mother and daughter duo who seemed so very perfect for her and here is an update for you all:-

1 month later:-

Posey is such a loving girl. She loves playing with a ping ping balls and fishing rod toys. She loves to find sun spots in the house for a nap. She's a wonderful addition to our family. X

Luna

Lovely Luna came to us in April 2024. She wasn't in for long at all until she was snapped up spending an exact total of 4 weeks with us. Luna was signed over to us through no fault of her own and showed quickly her cute, sassy personality.

Luna then went to her new home where she again settled in very quickly and is now officially ruling the roost.

Here are her updates:

1 month:

Luna has settled in perfectly, she now owns the house and allows us to stay there, she's started venturing outside she likes to run from the back to the front garden and she's been checking out our neighbours gardens she loves catching and chasing flys
- Clare Witten

 Lovely Lunas 3 month update:

She's absolutely fine it's like she's been with us her whole life she's proper nosey has to see what everyone's doing can't even go to the toilet without her following lol she goes outside but doesn't leave the house she goes out one door round the block and comes back in the other she's a right caricature honestly

6 Months:-

She’s doing absolutely great.Although she has been a little fluffy ball of sass, she has certainly brought a lot of energy and love to the home. She loves a cuddle on an early morning, and she also loves to zoom around the house on an early morning. She’s always full of curiosity and has become both an indoor and outdoor cat. She has such a funny personality and is always looking to play. We love her so much.

Larry

Our handsome boy Larry who came to us back in March 2024 was trapped in Staffordshire. He was part of a colony of over 40 cats where a kind lady spent weeks trapping them all & found rescue spaces for. Larry came to us along with 3 others and very quickly started to show great progression in our trust building exercises and beginning of the rehabilitation program which was wonderful to watch.

Once Larry was fully settled and out of isolation he continued growing from strength to strength and starting to make it very clear he not only loved a cosy bed and food on tap but also enjoyed human interaction via head rubs and chin scratches. Fast movements still made him very nervous so we knew a quite, more relaxed home would be beneficial to him.

Larry was then adopted by a lovely lady and away he went. Unfortunately the cat existing in the house hold didn't take to Larry meaning Larry was then returned to us 2 weeks later, as much as we loved having Larry back we were heartbroken for him as he had done so well to get to where he was so again we set off in search for the perfect home for him.

A couple weeks later a wonderful couple took an interest in Larry and seemed exactly like what we were looking for and they were! So off Larry went again to his new home and we are so made up he has indeed found his place.

Updates to follow soon.

Mr. Puddlesworth

Mr. Puddlesworth came to us back in March after being trapped, he was part of a feral colony which consisted of over 40 cats. When he first came in Mr. P gained slight trust with humans however it was quickly noted he was a cat who preferred to do what he wanted when he wanted and also preferred to keep human contact to a minimum with the exception of taking an easy meal being handed to him. It was obvious this boy loved his freedom as the longer he was restricted in rescue the more annoyed he got about things meaning we knew the feral farm cat lifestyle would be perfect for him rather then a home type lifestyle.

We then had a lovely lady contact us asking if we had any feral cats in to live at a small-hold where even though they'd be living ferally would be treated in a 5* manner with food, warm beds & blankets and medical treatment as and when needed... It was wonderful to know we had exactly what they were looking for along with knowing how loved and looked after he would be so on November the 9th 2024 Mr. P departed with 2 other cats of ours to start their wonderful new life of freedom.

  • Suffered from flu as a kitten, full recovery made. No further health conditions or concerns.

Hi my names Frosty. I was found when I was around 6 weeks old all alone and scared. I'm not sure where my mummy was and a storm came so I dashed to seek refuge in a farm feed warehouse where I was found and a day later trapped by Zoe's Ark. When I was seen at the vets I was of good weight but found to be covered in ticks

When I came into the rescue it wasn't long before I showed my full potential. For all I had been through in my first 6 weeks of life I really was a happy lil kitty who never stops purring and my confidence really is sky high. I love being loved and giving love. Two of my favourite things to do is to roll around in a clean litter tray like a chinchilla in a sand bath and caused mayhem. I became a therapy cat for a local care home and I really did enjoy it. I was great in the rescue also when it came to kittens and helping look after them, Mummy Zoe says Ive been a wonderful asset however I've now spent the first whole year of my life doing this and its only fair I now move on and am able to settle in a home to call my own. Due to be being a very social cat a home with another cat is a must, I enjoy cat and human company very much and love everyone I meet but I can be a cheeky boy. Since I have been rescued I have also never been back outside and I would prefer to keep it that way and stay in the safety of a home so I don't get lost again. Kids of any age would be fine with me, truth be told there really isn't much that would bother me. I haven't been dog tested however cat savvy dogs I would probably settle down with. • Domestic short hair.

Hello all, my names Ocean. I was signed over to Zoe's Ark through absolutely no fault of my own, my owner became ill and felt she could no longer look after me anymore.

When I first came to the rescue I shown very quickly how much of a loving, kind, caring boy I was, sleeping under the duvet with you is one of my favourite things to do along with being picked up and cuddled. I love cuddles, kisses, attention and before being neutered I also liked to try and hump your arm or head. I'm a very funny, cheeky chappy who is loveable, friendly and super adorable. I will make a wonderful companion, you'll never be alone, not with me around anyway.

I have never had outdoor experience before, so an indoor only home would be much better for me & safer. A home with other fellow cats would be a bonus as I am very social and get on with all my friends here at the rescue however I would be happy by myself as long as I have someone around most the day as I really do enjoy company and this would be important to my happiness.

If I sound like the purrrfect boy for you then please don't hesitate to click on the 'adoption' option below in quick links for your chance to adopt me now.
